Toyota of late purchased a stake in Tesla, and hearsays straight away began to pass about the coming up deal. Then last week it was revealed that Tesla is working out on a pair of models for the Japanese car manufacturer. Now the two prototypes have been distinguished as the RAV4 and Lexus RX. Based on a report from Bloomberg, the two fomites are under construction with delivery projected for later this month.

A joint Toyota-Tesla car could be developed at Tesla’s newly acquired NUMMI plant in California, which has loads of space. Till now, Toyota has been pretty muted about EV plans, exhibiting only a prototype battery-powered city car. But now, perhaps inspired by the partnership with Tesla, it appears to be pitching up for full booking.

Both companies rejected to point out on specific models, but Khobi Brooklyn the spokeswoman of Tesla affirmed that the company had formulated at least one test-ready electric vehicle established on a Toyota platform, with 2011 as the designated date for a public revealing. Toyota said it is however in discourses with Tesla, but that it has a “wide open” sight of their working in concert.

This ride goes from 0 till 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds! And this is faster then most regular gasoline cars. Also it’s top speed isn’t that bad at all. It’s capped on 200 km/h. And this is just the beginning, because there is a faster model coming soon! On a full battery you can drive like 480km with it, and recharge it within 45 min @ 480Volt. The Tesla can also be charged with 120Volt or 220Volt.
