Chinese Electric Cars could soon enter German

Germany the home to BMW, Daimler and VW car manufacturers may come under pressure to increase production of their own electric cars as Energy Company RWE prepares to lend a hand to a Chinese company to launch its electric cars.

RWE and China’s BYD have teamed up to add electrical cars to Germany, commencing with a test fleet in 2011. A great deal of rollout in Germany and numerous other European markets is designed for the following year.

The contract is with a Chinese company which is a battery expert and has since extended into car manufacturing. The pact is a string of accords with other producers, including Renault of France, Nissan and Daimler of Japan.

The attraction of the accord is a package which consists of BYD’s electric vehicles and RWE’s fast-charging posts and electricity provided solely from renewable sources. Two replicas will be at first accessible and targeted mainly at customers in cities driving shorter distances.

By their teamwork, RWE and BYD also expect to add to consistency efforts in the budding electric car industry. Since they know, that homogeneous elements are vital to kick start mass production.
